Will I get pulled over for 5 tint in California?

It depends entirely on which windows have 5% tint. If it's your rear side windows and rear windshield, you're completely legal, even in Fresno, and have nothing to worry about.

If your front side windows have 5% tint, yes, you can absolutely be pulled over. Front windows must allow 70% light transmission, making 5% up front one of the most obvious violations an officer will spot. Fresno law enforcement and CHP officers carry tint meters and can measure your VLT on the spot during any traffic stop.

How do I get a quote?

Do I need an appointment or do you take walk-ins?

We recommend booking an appointment to avoid wait times, but walk-ins are welcome when we have availability. Feel free to call or text us to check for same-day openings.

Should I do anything to my car beforehand?

Yes, we recommend giving your car a basic exterior wash before your appointment. This helps us avoid rubbing dry dirt or dust into the paint when working on your vehicle, which can cause scratching. It also makes it easier for us to get great photos of your car when it’s all done.

Do you have financing options?

Yes. We offer buy now, pay later options through providers like Affirm, Afterpay, and others, so you can split your purchase into easy payments. Just ask us for more details when booking.

Do you work on all types of vehicles?

We work on nearly all types of vehicles, including cars, trucks, SUVs, Teslas, luxury, and exotic cars. It’s rare that we come across something we can’t work on, but if you have a unique vehicle, feel free to reach out and we’ll be happy to confirm.

Are tinted headlights legal in California?

California does have rules covering headlight and taillight tinting. Headlights must emit white or yellow light and taillights must show red, so anything that changes the color or cuts the output too far is a problem.

The films we install are classified as protection films with a slight shade rather than a color-changing tint, which is what keeps them legal in California.

How far you go still matters. A light or medium shade changes the look with only a modest reduction in output, while very dark films noticeably cut brightness on unlit roads. How long after PPF can I wash my car?

Wait a full seven days after the application before washing your car. That gives the film time to fully cure and bond to the paint.

After that you can wash normally with a pH-neutral soap. Avoid abrasive brushes, harsh chemicals and automatic car washes, which are hard on the edges of the film.

Can you take a car with a ceramic coat through a car wash?

No, it’s best to avoid automated car washes if you have a ceramic-coated vehicle. Automated car washes use recycled water and low-quality brushes that can rub dirt and grit along the ceramic coating, damaging it. It’s best to stick to handwashing only for ceramic-coated vehicles.

Will a chrome delete last through Central Valley summers?

Yes, when it's installed properly. We use quality vinyl rated for outdoor use and wrap the edges so heat and sun can't get underneath. A car parked outside year-round will age faster than a garaged one, but you should get years out of it, and any single piece can be redone later without touching the rest.

How long does headlight and taillight tinting take?

Most vehicles are done the same day, usually within a few hours. It depends on how many lights you're doing and whether anything needs to come off the car to get a clean wrapped edge. We'll confirm the timing when we quote.

Is headlight and taillight tint removable?

Yes. It's a film applied over the lens rather than a paint or dye, so it can be taken off and the original lens is untouched underneath. That makes it easy to change shade later, or return the car to stock before you sell it.

How dark can I go on my headlights and taillights?

We offer a range from a light smoke through to a much darker finish. Lighter shades keep light output close to stock; the darker you go, the more output you lose. We'll show you samples in person and talk through how far you can sensibly go while keeping the lights usable at night.

Can you update or remove a wrap when our branding changes?

Yes. Wraps come off cleanly when removed properly with heat, and plenty of our fleet customers refresh their graphics after a rebrand or a phone number change. If only part of the design is changing we can often replace just those panels rather than rewrapping the whole vehicle.

Is paint correction the same as detailing?

No. A detail cleans and protects what's already there. Paint correction physically levels the clear coat with machine polishing to remove the defects underneath. A wash and wax can hide swirls for a few weeks; correction actually removes them. We'll tell you honestly which one your car needs.
