Headlight & Taillight Tinting in Fresno, CA
Protective film with a shade, in light through to dark. Serving Fresno from our Clovis shop, a short drive away.

Headlight and Taillight Tinting in Fresno, In Film Rather Than Spray
Tinted lights change the whole character of the front and rear of a car, but the product you use matters more than the shade you pick. We install STEK DYNO light protection film, which is a protective film carrying a shade rather than a paint or a dye. That distinction is the reason it stays legal in California, where headlights must emit white or yellow light and taillights must show red, and the reason it peels off again if you ever want the car back to stock. It comes in four tones: DYNOshade, DYNOsmoke, DYNOshadow and DYNOyellow. Because it is a protection film first, it also takes the freeway grit and UV that turn polycarbonate lenses cloudy and yellow over the years, which on a car covering real Fresno mileage is worth as much as the look is. Most vehicles are finished the same day, usually within a few hours, and every install carries a 7-year manufacturer warranty.
Benefits of Headlight & Taillight Tinting
A Darker, Cleaner Look For Your Lights
Tinted headlights and taillights give a car a finished, purposeful look that sets it apart on the road. Choose anything from a light smoke to a deep, dark shade depending on how far you want to take it.
Headlight Film That Blocks UV And Stone Chips
The film is a protective barrier first. It stops UV fading and hazing the lenses, and absorbs the rock and gravel strikes that chip them, so your lights stay clear instead of turning yellow and cloudy over the years.
STEK DYNO Film, Backed By A 7-Year Warranty
We install STEK's DYNO light protection film in four tones: DYNOshade, DYNOsmoke, DYNOshadow and DYNOyellow. It resists rock cracks, acid staining from insects and bird droppings, fading and hazing, and every install carries a 7-year manufacturer warranty.
Paint Protection Film VS Ceramic Coating
PPF and Ceramic Coating both enhance protection, yet serve distinct purposes. PPF is a thick film safeguarding against physical damage like stone chips and scratches, while Ceramic Coating, a liquid polymer, provides a glossy, hydrophobic layer resisting minor scratches, UV damage, and simplifying cleaning. Each offers unique protective benefits for your vehicle.

We Are Here To Help
It depends on how many lights you're doing and whether anything needs to come off the car to get a clean wrapped edge, so headlight tinting is priced per vehicle rather than at a flat rate.
Most vehicles are done the same day, usually within a few hours. Send us your year, make and model and we'll give you a free, no-commitment quote.
Plenty of customers have us handle their window tinting on the same visit, which saves a second trip.
There is a 7-year warranty provided by the manufacture. We also have a no-fault lifetime warranty.
California does have rules covering headlight and taillight tinting. Headlights must emit white or yellow light and taillights must show red, so anything that changes the color or cuts the output too far is a problem.
The films we install are classified as protection films with a slight shade rather than a color-changing tint, which is what keeps them legal in California.
How far you go still matters. A light or medium shade changes the look with only a modest reduction in output, while very dark films noticeably cut brightness on unlit roads. We'll talk through how you drive and recommend a shade that keeps the lights usable at night. See the four tones we carry on our headlight and taillight tinting page.
We offer a range from a light smoke through to a much darker finish. Lighter shades keep light output close to stock; the darker you go, the more output you lose. We'll show you samples in person and talk through how far you can sensibly go while keeping the lights usable at night.
Yes, to a degree, and how much depends entirely on the shade you choose. A light or medium smoke changes the look noticeably while costing you only a modest amount of output.
Go very dark and you will feel it on unlit roads. That is the trade-off, and it is worth being honest about it before you commit rather than after.
Tell us how you actually drive. Someone covering unlit rural miles around the Valley should stay lighter than someone mostly on lit streets. The same film also takes the rock chips that would otherwise hit the lens, in the same way paint protection film does for your paint.
Yes. It's a film applied over the lens rather than a paint or dye, so it can be taken off and the original lens is untouched underneath. That makes it easy to change shade later, or return the car to stock before you sell it.

Yes. It's a protective layer as well as a shade, so it takes the rock chips and sandblasting that would otherwise hit the lens itself. On a car covering a lot of highway miles, that protection is often worth as much as the look is.
The same idea applied to your paint rather than your lights is paint protection film in Fresno.
