Paint Correction in Fresno, CA
Swirls and scratches machine-polished out. Serving Fresno from our Clovis shop, a short drive away.

Paint Correction in Fresno That Removes Defects Instead of Hiding Them
Swirl marks are not sitting on your paint. They are cut into the clear coat, which is why a wash and wax makes them vanish for a fortnight and then brings them straight back. Paint correction is machine polishing that removes a controlled amount of clear coat so the surface is flat again and light reflects cleanly instead of scattering. A one-step correction starts at $600 and suits most cars one to three years old, where the marks are light. A multi-step starts at $1,200 and runs several stages of compounding and polishing for the heavier scratching, etching and oxidation that older paint or a car parked outside through Fresno summers usually carries. There is a hard limit on how much clear coat any car has left, so we take paint depth readings before we start and work to those numbers. Bring the car by our Clovis shop, a short trip from Fresno, and we will show you what is actually in the paint rather than guess from its age.
Benefits of Paint Correction
Swirl Marks And Scratches Polished Out
Machine polishing removes the swirls, scratches and oxidation that dull your paint, revealing the flat, glossy surface underneath. The difference is most obvious on dark colors in direct sun.
Paint Correction Adds Resale Value
Corrected paintwork is one of the first things a buyer notices. Restoring the finish before you sell or hand back a lease typically returns more than the work costs.
Sealing Corrected Paint So It Stays That Way
Correction removes the defects but does not stop new ones forming, so we seal the paint once the work is done. That is the point at which the finish is flattest and glossiest, and protecting it there is what keeps the correction looking new.
Paint Protection Film VS Ceramic Coating
PPF and Ceramic Coating both enhance protection, yet serve distinct purposes. PPF is a thick film safeguarding against physical damage like stone chips and scratches, while Ceramic Coating, a liquid polymer, provides a glossy, hydrophobic layer resisting minor scratches, UV damage, and simplifying cleaning. Each offers unique protective benefits for your vehicle.

What our customers think

Came in to get the front windshield redone after I had it replaced. Daniel and his team did an amazing job as always. I had to wait with the car this time around and they got it done in less than 45 minutes! The price was extremely competitive and he's quick to response. Repeat business for sure. They are located off of Herndon - I always have to double check which address otherwise I go to the old location across town.

Great service! Right from when I requested a quote on the website, I got a response right away and had all of my questions answered. I was greeted when I came in for my appointment (I'm so sorry that I didn't get the name of the lady who helped me because she was so nice) and was helped immediately. The car looks great and I will be recommending to friends and family.

Amazing Job ! Super satisfied with the work . The staff was very professional and nice . This is definitely a place of business.
We Are Here To Help
Our shop is in Clovis, a short drive from anywhere in Fresno. Plenty of our paint correction customers come over from Fresno. It's an easy trip, and since correction work is a one to two day job you'll be dropping the car off rather than waiting anyway.
Correction is also the normal first step before PPF in Fresno goes on, because the film locks in whatever is underneath it.
A one-step correction starts at $600 and a multi-step at $1,200. Which one you need depends on how much defect is actually in the paint, not on how big a package you want.
One-step suits most cars one to three years old, where the swirls are light and a single stage of machine polishing clears them. Multi-step uses several stages of compounding and polishing for heavier defects, etching and oxidation, and is what older or neglected paint usually needs.
Send us a few photos in good light, or bring the car by the shop, and we'll tell you honestly which one it needs rather than which one sells. Both options are listed on our paint correction in Fresno page.
One-step uses a single stage of machine polishing to remove light swirls, scratches and oxidation, and suits most vehicles one to three years old. Multi-step uses several stages of compounding and polishing to remove heavier defects, water spots and etching, and is what we recommend for cars three years or older or with significant imperfections.
Both one-step and multi-step corrections typically take one to two days. We'd rather take the extra time and get the finish right than rush a panel, so we'll confirm the timeline once we've seen the paint in person.
It removes most swirl marks, light scratches and oxidation. Scratches deep enough to catch your fingernail have usually gone through the clear coat, and those need paint work rather than polishing. We take paint depth gauge measurements before we start so we never remove more clear coat than is safe.
It's the ideal time. Correction leaves the paint at its clearest, and a ceramic coating locks that finish in and makes it far easier to maintain. Coating over uncorrected paint just seals the swirls underneath, which is why we prep the surface properly either way.
The correction itself is permanent, because that clear coat has been levelled. How long it keeps looking corrected comes down to washing. Hand washing with pH-neutral soap and avoiding automatic brush washes will keep it sharp for years, and a ceramic coating makes that much easier.
No. A detail cleans and protects what's already there. Paint correction physically levels the clear coat with machine polishing to remove the defects underneath. A wash and wax can hide swirls for a few weeks; correction actually removes them. We'll tell you honestly which one your car needs.
