Will I get pulled over for 5 tint in California?

It depends entirely on which windows have 5% tint. If it's your rear side windows and rear windshield, you're completely legal, even in Fresno, and have nothing to worry about.

If your front side windows have 5% tint, yes, you can absolutely be pulled over. Front windows must allow 70% light transmission, making 5% up front one of the most obvious violations an officer will spot. Fresno law enforcement and CHP officers carry tint meters and can measure your VLT on the spot during any traffic stop.

Do I need an appointment or do you take walk-ins?

Should I do anything to my car beforehand?

Yes, we recommend giving your car a basic exterior wash before your appointment. This helps us avoid rubbing dry dirt or dust into the paint when working on your vehicle, which can cause scratching. It also makes it easier for us to get great photos of your car when it’s all done.

Do you have financing options?

Yes. We offer buy now, pay later options through providers like Affirm, Afterpay, and others, so you can split your purchase into easy payments. Just ask us for more details when booking.

Do you work on all types of vehicles?

We work on nearly all types of vehicles, including cars, trucks, SUVs, Teslas, luxury, and exotic cars. It’s rare that we come across something we can’t work on, but if you have a unique vehicle, feel free to reach out and we’ll be happy to confirm.

Are tinted headlights legal in California?

California does have rules covering headlight and taillight tinting. Headlights must emit white or yellow light and taillights must show red, so anything that changes the color or cuts the output too far is a problem.

The films we install are classified as protection films with a slight shade rather than a color-changing tint, which is what keeps them legal in California.

How far you go still matters. A light or medium shade changes the look with only a modest reduction in output, while very dark films noticeably cut brightness on unlit roads. How long after PPF can I wash my car?

Wait a full seven days after the application before washing your car. That gives the film time to fully cure and bond to the paint.

After that you can wash normally with a pH-neutral soap. Avoid abrasive brushes, harsh chemicals and automatic car washes, which are hard on the edges of the film.

Can you take a car with a ceramic coat through a car wash?

No, it’s best to avoid automated car washes if you have a ceramic-coated vehicle. Automated car washes use recycled water and low-quality brushes that can rub dirt and grit along the ceramic coating, damaging it. It’s best to stick to handwashing only for ceramic-coated vehicles.

What is a chrome delete?

It's covering your vehicle's chrome trim with vinyl to change the finish, usually gloss, satin or matte black for a blacked-out look. We can do window trim, door handles, grille accents, badges, mirror caps and roof rails, either as a full de-chrome or just the pieces that bother you.

What is ceramic coating and why should I get it?

A ceramic coating is a liquid polymer that chemically bonds to your clear coat and cures into a hard, glass-like layer. It is not a wax. Wax sits on top of the paint and washes away within a month or two, while a coating becomes part of the surface and is measured in years. For Fresno and Clovis drivers the practical benefits are UV protection in a climate that runs past 100°F for weeks at a time, resistance to the bird droppings and tree sap that etch unprotected paint, and a genuinely easier wash, because water and dirt struggle to cling to the surface.

How does window tint percentage work?

Tint is measured in VLT, or Visible Light Transmission, which is the percentage of light the film lets through. The lower the number, the darker the tint.

How long does a color change wrap take?

Although each vinyl color wrap job varies based on what’s being done on a vehicle, an average job takes between 2-5 days to complete.

Can I remove a color wrap later, if I change my mind?

Yes, color wrap changes can be applied and removed at any time.
