Will I get pulled over for 5 tint in California?

It depends entirely on which windows have 5% tint. If it's your rear side windows and rear windshield, you're completely legal, even in Fresno, and have nothing to worry about.

If your front side windows have 5% tint, yes, you can absolutely be pulled over. Front windows must allow 70% light transmission, making 5% up front one of the most obvious violations an officer will spot. Fresno law enforcement and CHP officers carry tint meters and can measure your VLT on the spot during any traffic stop.

Do you have financing options?

Do you work on all types of vehicles?

Are tinted headlights legal in California?

California does have rules covering headlight and taillight tinting. Headlights must emit white or yellow light and taillights must show red, so anything that changes the color or cuts the output too far is a problem.

The films we install are classified as protection films with a slight shade rather than a color-changing tint, which is what keeps them legal in California.

How far you go still matters. A light or medium shade changes the look with only a modest reduction in output, while very dark films noticeably cut brightness on unlit roads. How long after PPF can I wash my car?

Wait a full seven days after the application before washing your car. That gives the film time to fully cure and bond to the paint.

After that you can wash normally with a pH-neutral soap. Avoid abrasive brushes, harsh chemicals and automatic car washes, which are hard on the edges of the film.

Can you take a car with a ceramic coat through a car wash?

No, it’s best to avoid automated car washes if you have a ceramic-coated vehicle. Automated car washes use recycled water and low-quality brushes that can rub dirt and grit along the ceramic coating, damaging it. It’s best to stick to handwashing only for ceramic-coated vehicles.

Why do some people say ceramic coating is bad for my car?

When your ceramic coating is done by a professional, there’s no danger at all for your car. When done by an amateur, though, a bad ceramic coating can cause streaks, high spots, hazing, and horrible reflections on your vehicle’s surface.

How do I wash and care for my car after ceramic coating?

Hand wash only, with a pH-neutral soap. Skip drive-through washes, because the brushes drag grit across the paint and will take life off the coating. The one tool we really recommend is a blower. Drying with air instead of a towel means you are barely touching the paint at all, and touching the paint is where most swirl marks come from in the first place. If you do towel dry, use a clean plush microfibre and no pressure. You do not need to wax a coated car. Wax sits on top and does nothing the coating is not already doing better. We do ask that you come in once a year for maintenance, which is $120. That covers a full wash, a reapplication, and whatever any individual panel needs where the water has stopped beading properly. It is what keeps the protection even across the whole car instead of thinning out on the panels that take the most sun.

How much does a ceramic coating cost in Fresno?

Our ceramic coating packages start at $699 for the Essential package with a 3-year warranty, or $899 for the 5-year version. Premium starts at $1,399 and Ultimate, our most complete package, starts at $2,199. If the paint needs correcting first, and most cars more than a year or two old do, a one-step correction starts at $600 and a multi-step at $1,200. Our coatings carry a 3-year warranty as standard, with a 5-year option available on every package. In practice that is a floor rather than a ceiling, and a well looked-after coating often outlasts its warranty. What shortens it is the Central Valley itself. Weeks of triple-digit heat and relentless UV are hard on any finish, and automatic car washes are harder still. Hand wash only, use a pH-neutral soap, and get bird droppings and sap off before they bake on. Dry the car after rinsing rather than letting it air-dry. The coating sheds most of the water for you, so this takes minutes, and it is what keeps water spotting from becoming an issue.

Is it worth it to ceramic coat my car?

For most cars in the Central Valley, yes.
